Assessing Group C, Coach Mai Đức Chung stated that this group features strong opponents including Japan, India, and Chinese Taipei. "Not only Group C, but all groups in this finals are very competitive. All participating teams deserve to be here. Therefore, the Vietnamese women's national team will have to give their utmost effort, focusing on one match at a time."

Coach Mai Đức Chung expressed his happiness about competing in Australia, a co-host country of the 2023 Women's World Cup.

He mentioned that the favorable weather conditions and the enthusiastic support from the large Vietnamese community here will be a great motivation for the whole team. "We will strive to perform our best based on our training, adhering to the coaching staff's requirements. In football, nothing can be predicted, but facing strong opponents only fuels our determination more."

Meanwhile, captain Huỳnh Như highly appreciated the reception from the Organizing Committee: "We are pleased with the accommodation, training conditions, and the weather here. The whole team is in good spirits and physical condition."

The 2026 Women's Asian Cup finals feature 12 participating teams, divided into 3 groups of 4 teams each. According to the format, the top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals; the quarter-final winners proceed to the semi-finals, while the quarter-final losers will play in a play-off round. The final is scheduled for March 21.

According to the Asian Football Confederation's calculation, 6 direct spots for the 2027 Women's World Cup will be awarded to the 4 semi-finalists and the 2 winners of the play-off matches. The two play-off losers will enter the intercontinental play-off for a chance to qualify.
