The atmosphere at the Bernabéu turned tense immediately after the final whistle, as the conflict between Vinicius and Allan Nyom escalated into a physical confrontation in the technical area. In fact, this tension had been simmering since the first leg at the Coliseum.

In the match between Real Madrid and Getafe, Nyom was substituted on in the 80th minute for Femenía to reinforce the defense. However, just 38 seconds after entering the pitch, the Getafe defender was sent off for an off-the-ball clash with the Brazilian star. After the match, coach José Bordalás revealed that Vinicius approached Nyom and said: "That was a great substitution". According to Bordalás, Nyom considered it an unnecessary provocation. "Vinícius didn't need to say that. I told him to focus on the game", the Getafe strategist shared with Movistar Plus+.

Not only Bordalás, but defender Juan Iglesias had also publicly criticized Vinicius, stating his attitude displeased many. Therefore, when the rematch at the Bernabéu concluded, Nyom headed straight towards the Real Madrid bench to direct challenging words at Vinicius. This action ignited a scuffle right in front of the technical area.

Bordalás was the first to intervene, trying to calm Vinicius and signaling he would control his player. Real Madrid's side quickly responded: Llopis, Ceballos, Militao, and then Asensio appeared in succession to prevent tensions from escalating. A member of Getafe's coaching staff, Darío Montero, also joined in mediation. However, the situation was only truly brought under control once the two main protagonists were led away from the pitch area.
